Located in the heart of the Highland Lakes chain, Lake LBJ is one of the few constant-level lakes in Texas, making it a reliable favorite for boating, water sports, and lakeside living. A Glimpse Into History

Originally named Lake Granite Shoals, this lake was renamed in honor of President Lyndon B. Johnson in 1965. It was created as part of the Highland Lakes system to help manage the Lower Colorado River. Thanks to its constant water level and easy access from Austin and San Antonio, Lake LBJ has become a premier recreation and vacation spot in Central Texas.
